Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a Japanese rock band composed of four members which has been active since 1996. It is undoubtedly one of the most recognized bands in Japan and this time in NotiAnime we will review all the songs of the band that appear in animes, but first we go with the intro and start. Masashi Kishimoto’s work was taking its first steps on the small screen and for its second opening they decided to have the music of Asian Kung-Fu Generation, giving rise to the well-known “Haruka Kanata”, without doubt one of the most famous songs of the band among those who watch anime. Fourth and last opening of the 2003 anime, although this song in July 2004. Another great and well-known song of the band, which follows the style of “Haruka Kanata”, after all, it came out a year after the previous one . Tekkonkinkreet is a manga written by Taiyou Matsumoto which was adapted to a film in 2006, being its director Michael Arias, who during a tour approached the band and requested a song for his film, after that this song would emerge , which would be released a month before the movie’s release. To the list of great anime that feature Asian Kung-Fu Generation songs like Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist is added another great shonen, we refer to Bleach, which featured band music in its seventh opening. Anime produced by Madhouse, directed by Masaaki Yuasa, which is based on the novel by Tomihiko Morimi. The opening is the one in charge of Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Here we find one of the special cases of this list, Solanin is a manga written and illustrated by Inio Asano, which was adapted to a live action movie, to close it, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released a song which told with the lyrics written by Asano, the author of the work. Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Naruto get back together, this time for the sixth film of the franchise, composing the closing theme of it. The case of this song is curious, “Re: Re” was part of the album of the band Sol-fa of the year 2004 but for the year 2016 a version of it was recorded, which was released as simple and used by the anime Boku Dake ga Inai Machi as opening. Definitely Asian Kung-Fu Generation is part of the key moments of Naruto, first with the second opening of the franchise and now with the last, it is the tenth ninth “Blood Circulator” which covers the final arch and the peak moments of the Kishimoto’s work. In April 2017 they would be in charge of providing the song for, again, a work directed by Masaaki Yuasa, which curiously is again based on a work by Tomihiko Morimi. In fact, this movie is a spiritual sequel to the 2010 series. Curiosity? Yusuke Nakamura, the illustrator of the band’s art was also responsible for the designs of the characters in the film. Concluding with this list we arrived at the Dororo remake, which featured in its second opening with music from the band. The single bears the same name as the anime.
