Obrona przed dźwignią na łokieć – Obroń Się Sam odc. 20 – Wing Tsun Kung Fu

Welcome to the Wing
Tsun channel. My name is
Andrzej Kominek. Enjoy the
new episode in the “Defend
yourself” series. Let’s continue
with joint-locks. Today we will
look at the horizontal
elbow and shoulder lock. Bartek, if
you please. The opponent
approaches. I put up my guard
and he grabs my arm applying the
horizontal elbow lock. What is
essential here? The moment I feel
the lock being applied (it’ll be easier
to see from this side) I keep my shoulder
from rotating outside, but I do not
resist the force. This is
a critical point. If I struggle
and tense up this will probably
end up with the opponent
breaking my shoulder. The aim of this lock
is not only to twist the arm but to topple
the opponent and force him
to the ground where it is
easier to control him. As stated in the
previous episode you should follow
the force. This means that
when I feel the pressure I follow
its direction and in this
case turn with my back
to the opponent. But I’m
not helpless, as I control his
elbow joint with one hand and hit his groin
with the other. Right now, for
safety reasons I hit
the thigh. Once I make some
room I step back, this hand
lets go, and I rotate
while controlling the arm, and hit with
a series of punches. Once again. Control, rotation,
attack. I move in,
strike with the elbow, control the arm,
and strike. One more
time. One, two,
three, four, five
and six. As you see, the key thing is to follow the
opponent’s movement and stick close
to his body, which allows
me to react and defend
myself. I hope you
enjoyed the video. If so, make sure to like it,

next episode!
