Kung Fu Sparring Techniques : Kung Fu Sparring Techniques: Outside Block & Round Kick

My name is Wes Rhodes from the Chinese Kung
Fu Academy and for Expert Village, this is the Kung Fu sparring technique outside block,
round kick with a grab. Now this technique is done from they’re either doing a front
hand back fist or front hand jab. You are going to lead with the left hand doing a block
and you are going to actually turn the hand around and hook on to their hand and as you
do this you are going to slide up, pick the leg up and do a round kick to the mid section
or to the face. Here is one slow, and here is one a little faster. The way it works with
an opponent is as they throw their back fist they are throwing a high back fist to the
head just like that. You are going to block with the front hand doing an outside block
so you do this, boom. As you do this you are going to slide up and then as you pick the
foot up you are going to actually hook this hand down, pick the knee up and do a round
kick aiming for the inside of the body or the face. We’ll just do one slow, one, two,
and here is one a little faster, just like that. Now this kick you can put a lot of power
into it. You can really drive the technique in because you have a grab it is much easier
to put power into the technique. Usually your front leg round kick would be more of a speed
kick than a power kick. Again my name is Wes Rhodes from the Chinese Kung Fu Academy and
that is how you perform the outside block, round kick.
