How to Escape Standing Side Headlock | Jiu Jitsu


My opponent gets me in a headlock, standing. First and again, I hold onto his hand here. My forehand grabs onto his bicep there. Why? This hand can punch me in the face, so I’ve
got to hold onto it there, and also punch, or protect my face, like so. Once I have his hand here, my leg that’s behind
him is going to straighten out, and I’m going to sit down on the floor with him. I will hit the ground before him. And that’s how you defend the headlock standing.
