Five Animals Shaolin Martial Arts : Crane Techniques in Shaolin Martial Arts

Hi my name is Adam Bowling. I’m representing
the Christian Martial Arts Association. On behalf of Expert Village I’m here to talk
to you about the Five Animal Forms of Kung Fu. The Crane Technique that we’re about to
perform is one of the techniques that Tamo would have taught one of his students. The
Crane moves striking using the akaru, at the same time he wants to keep the opponent away,
striking sensitive points. At this point I’m striking his throat, this would be moving
him back. From here, I could strike here moving him center in line, in the forehead, moving
him further back top heavy and then striking low. The Crane.

  1. @migs52213 alot of fighting styles involvs hitting/kicking in the nuts
get used to it:D have done wing tsun for 2 month and have allready learned several ways to nutshot my opponent

  2. @shaolinstudent49 depends what your targeting. a toe kick can actually kill. and the toes are only likely to break if the choice of target is poor. a classical shaolin toe kick would be the iron nail kick and i believe there are many more, however i did not watch this video so idk if any of that happened or not

  3. @fyrestarter89 yes if on street of course and have to do it for your life then strike in balls is necessary.. not only strike them twist them so he can't breath…

  4. Crane does use toes to the throat, but the technique is a lot different, it is closer to a knife edge in structure. Everything in the background is japanese and he does not move like the crane, but it resembles like it wants to be crane. It is almost like a home brew system.

  5. How is he trying to teach crane technique without showing people first the crane basic forms and movements?
