-Once more. -Kiai.
-Once more. Very good, Daniel-san. Hey, pretty good? Look at this. Wait. Daniel-san. What do you think? I tell you what Miyagi think, I think you dance around too much. I think you talk too much. I think you no concentrate enough. Lots of work to be done. Tournament just around corner. Come, stand up. Steady, concentrate. Focus power. Drive a punch.

  1. I know this has been said already but the Pan music makes this scene awesome It actually kinda haunting but it takes me back to my childhood.

  2. Why is it that Daniel's karate looked cooler when training? Or the fact that he actually blocked and punched more during his training? His stance looked better too. His stance looked goofy at the end. Don't get me wrong, I love the karate kid movies. But it's like he forgets a piece of his karate every time he fights. Ok I'll exclude the first one since it's his first time. Part 2 he did get some hits but blocking wasn't much. Part 3 though, what a miserable fuck Daniel was. He couldn't block or punch. And then he had to ask miyagi to train him. Miyagi just taught him a kata because he should have already known how to block or punch by the third movie. He wins a death match in the second film yet he was scared of some punk in a tournament match in the third.

  3. So beautiful from :12 seconds to about :30 seconds. Its so serene. I love how the sun is shining over the waves giving it a beautiful golden color.

  4. A great movie, even today after 30 years people are still visiting the filming sites in San Fernando Valley! This was a movie filmed in 45 days and yet last decades with new generation of fans. Director John Avildsen did a fantastic job. It was sad that the producers did not agree on Elisabeth Shue's role for KK2, thus ending Ali's storyline abruptly, a big mistake, after all they went through in KK1… I read the book "The Films of John Avildsen" and wrote a blog for University, I placed a link with a slide show of the filming locations "then and now", most of them are exactly the same: https://blogsandbirds.wordpress.com/2017/05/25/the-karate-kid-a-classic-franchise-from-john-g-avildsen/

  5. Very nice combination of soundtrack and photography in this scene. Director John Avildsen did very well in this movie! No wonder why it was critically acclaimed and a success worldwide. I read the book "The Films of John Avildsen" and wrote a blog for University, even today fans are visiting the filming sites of KK1, most of the sites are still the same, like Ali's house, Daniel's apt, Golf N Staff, etc.. 6. the montage here is amazing, and the score playing in the background, oh my, that score deserved an Oscar. Such a great, great movie.

  7. Tomber en évitant que la tête percuté le sol combien dfoi Tout sa aurais pu être évité mais maintenant trouver

  8. "You some kind of girl or something?" Nowadays, all feminists and SJW-tards would be triggered AF and would make the movie be censored.

  9. anyone else notice the beautiful scenery in this and other scenes with the sun in the background and everything looks so serene. Now they do this stuff with CGI and it doesnt even look better than 40 year old cameras.

  10. 1:44 I think you dance around too much. I think you talk too much. I think you not concentrate enough. Lots of work to be done.

  11. Ha-ha, "I'll tell you what Miyagi think. I think you dance around too much, I think u talk too much and I think u not concentrate enough."😊

  12. Daniel tends to get go from being terrified to overconfident in a heartbeat. Still hasnt left him going by the new series and his comment about kicking Johnny in the face

  13. The first 30 seconds of this brings back so many childhood memories. A better time, innocence. This film hit the mark so well, so identifiable by so many.

  14. The onion ninjas hit me when the song at the beginning played on the scene at Cobra Kai, with the aging Daniel LaRusso was training in his dojo. RIP Mr. Miyagi/Pat Morita.

  15. What Miyagi tells Daniel in this scene is correct. You only want the second and third knuckles to make contact with the target, because those knuckles and the second and third metacarpals are more properly aligned with the radius and ulna of the forearm. Making contact with the fourth and fifth knuckles can give you what's called a boxer's break.

  16. Reminds me of when my father taught me how to saw a pipe with very little effort. Has nothing to do with strength but how you move your whole body.

  17. Can any Japanese-speakers interpret what Miyagi says at 1:44? I imagine it's something like "Oy, this fuckin' kid", lol.

  18. interestingly enough that was the same scissor takedown Daniel did on Johnny in the tournament to score a point.

  19. ..and for some strange reason after working his balance on the boat, he quite couldnt show ANY of it to Mike Barnes in kk3!

  20. Evidently Miyagi-do doesn't incorporate any strength training.
If Cobra Kai just focused on winning, rather than punishing opponents they'd be champions 50 years straight.

  21. This montage is such a beautiful scene. Perfect synthesis of imagery and music. And then of course, that beautiful dissolve into the training with Mr. Miyagi. The lens flare from the setting sun and the slowly, methodical camera movement just elevates everything.

  22. Imagine if Miagi had Jonny as a student. With Miagi's training and jonny's athleticism that would be an unstoppable karate machine

  23. 0:07 That's like me trying to learn 4wide building on Tetris Battle. When done right, it's so overpowered that most people won't want to play you. When done wrong, you'll likely lose very one-sidedly.

  24. Why would Daniel need to learn to punch hard for a tournament though?????? It's not like they're supposed to be trying to knock out their opponents at tournaments!!!!

  25. June 2, 2019- at the end. Mr. MIYAGI really does sounds like Yoda.. his voice. 🤣😂😅 Love them both
