Beginning Tai Chi Movements : Tai Chi Movement 10


Stepping lightly into forward thrust punch
and whirling arms. Beginning with the weight on the right hand side, the hands coming down,
brushing the waist, the weight moves to the left and comes back to the right, the right
hand settles down chambered in a high position right beneath the chest. Left hand extended
weight about 70 or 80 percent on the right. This is a Fa Jin maneuver or a explosive release
of power. When pushes off the right foot, left hand comes back, right hand comes forward.
Done quickly, forward thrust punch.
Right hand settles beneath the chest.
