AFN Yongsan – Bryce & Jolie Shindo Jiu-Jitsu

BRICE AND JOLIE SHINDO ARE LIKE MOST KIDS.
THEY ENJOY SCHOOL AND THEY ENJOY RECESS, BUT THIS IS WHERE THE PARALLELS START TO DIVERGE.
SOMETHING THAT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS EIGHT AND 10 YEAR OLD IS THAT THEY ARE ALSO
TRAINING IN COMPETITIVE BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU AND ARE ALSO PREPARING FOR THEIR FIRST TOURNAMENT
AT JAMSIL INDOOR GYMNASIUM ON SATURDAY.  TOURNAMENT JUST FOR EXPERIENCE; JUST FOR FUN.
I WANT KIDS HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. SOME KIDS, EVEN THEY LOSE THEY
DON’T HAVE TO BE DISAPPOINT THEY SELF. MY HUSBAND STARTED JIU-JITSU AND HE INTRODUCED
IT TO ALL OF US AND ONCE YOU START IT AND IT’S LIKE A FAMILY. YOU HAVE A GOOD CAMARADERIE
WITH JIU-JITSU COMPARED TO OTHER SPORTS AND I THINK THAT HAVING OUR JIU-JITSU FAMILY HAS
MADE YOU WANT TO STICK WITH IT. JIU-JITSU HAS BECOME A FAMILY AFFAIR FOR THE
SHINDOS. WITH BRYCE AND JOLIE TAKING THE LEAD FROM THEIR PARENTS; IT’S NOT SO MUCH ABOUT
COMPETING AS IT IS ABOUT KIDS JUST BEING KIDS. THIS IS MY FIRST TOURNAMENT HERE IN KOREA.
I JUST WENT AGAINST TWO PEOPLE. SPECIALIST KEVIN SPENCE, YONGSAN, KOREA.
